Located on the Epynt Military Ranges the Halfway stage is partly reversed to that used in 2010 and now starts with a fast tarmac section over open moorland before moving into the classic narrow and twisty gravel forest tracks of Halfway forest. The final section of the 2010 stage is not being used this year.
By entering through Car Park P (Dixies) you will also be able to view the tarmac hairpin section of the Crychan stage, which is only 100m away from the famous Dixies crossing.
Due to the very compact timing of this day, there will only be a relatively short time gap before the cars come through the Stage for their second run. There is no need to attempt to move between car parks - enjoy the Halfway stages to their full by visiting the variety of viewing points on offer within your chosen car park.
Please note: the National Event will not be running over the Sunday stages.
CAR PARK O (HALFWAY VILLAGE)
Open from 18:00 on Saturday 12 November
Due to access issues to the stage it is not recommended for disabled spectators.
The viewing areas will be signposted from the car park. There is no access to the Dixies area from this car park.
- V1 Is easily accessed from the head of the car park, enabling views of the competitors for at least 250m as they sweep down through two tight bends from the quarry area.
- V2 Is located on the edge of a quarry with views of competitors as they arrive to do a complete loop around the perimeter road. The footpath to this area is a steep climb from the car park but assisted on the last 50m by a handrail.
From all directions: Approach on the A40 from either Llandovery (6 miles) or Brecon (16 miles). From the Brecon direction you will go past Car Park P. The Car Park O entrance is directly off the A40 in the village of Halfway and will be signed.
Note: a temporary clearway order will be imposed on the A40 from Trecastle to Halfway village and vehicles parked on the road will be towed away.

CAR PARK P (DIXIES)
Open from 18:00 on Saturday 12 November
The viewing areas will be signposted from the car park.
- V4 Park as far into the car park as instructed by the marshals. Head towards Dixies and then follow the marked path to the left of Dixies crossing and watch the cars go over the crossing at high speed before turning sharp left into Halfway forest.
- V5 Is an extension to V4 and offers exceptional views of typical forestry roads with fast sweeping bends.
- V6 Is a viewing area extending for almost 600m - starting when the cars come into view with a jump across a tarmac road and continuing through a series of jumps, all easily visible across the open moor, before crossing Dixies at high speed. Also available from this location is access to open viewing points to watch a tarmac section, including a fast approach to a very tight hairpin, which forms part of the Crychan stage. Standing up on the natural banks it is also possible to watch the cars as the pass through V4 and V6 from the same position, making this one of the most exciting locations to spend the day on the event and remove the need to move to any other stages.
- V7 Take the parking area on the right at the head of the car park. From the end of that parking area you will have to walk down and across the valley for approximately 1km (0.7 mile) to a crossing point, where it will be possible to see the cars, after travelling at speed, negotiating a tight right hand junction on tarmac before turning right onto a gravel road.
- V8 Involves a walk of about 800m along a footpath from the left side of the car park but it is well worthwhile when you get there. The cars are visible for some time before passing over a cattle grid and below your vantage point. You can also see cars across the valley shortly after as they are travelling at high speed towards the finishing area.
There will be very limited disabled parking, access and toilets at car park P. All spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
All disabled persons wishing to gain access will need to display their official disabled blue badge in the car.
From all directions: Approach on the A40 from either Llandovery (12 miles) or Brecon (10 miles). Turn off the A40 in Llywel, opposite the disused motel and proceed for a further 1.5 km onto the Military Range.
Please note that due to a Remembrance Day Service taking place at Llywel Church on Sunday 13 November, exit from the car park may be restricted between 11:00am and 11:15am. It is planned to hold a two minute silence at 11:00am to mark Remembrance Day.
Note: a temporary clearway order will be imposed on the A40 from Trecastle to Halfway village and vehicles parked will be towed away. Also do not attempt to move North to the Crychan stage as the time schedule will mean you are likely to miss the second run.
