The stage has been reversed from 2010 and now has two distinct sections. Firstly it starts in Crychan forest with its dense network of roads making the stage very twisty in places, passing through a large number of junctions. After emerging from the forest the route then travels over a 9km section of tarmac with tricky junctions and crests including the ideal spectator viewing hairpin at Dixies, where cars can be easily seen approaching and departing from the junction. Access to this tarmac section on Crychan is not accessible from Crychan car parks M and N - to view the tarmac section at Dixies, you would need to go to car park P (Dixies).

There is no need to attempt to move between car parks - enjoy the Crychan stages to their full by visiting the variety of viewing points on offer within your chosen car park.

CAR PARK M

Open from 18:00 on Saturday 12 November

The viewing areas will be signposted from the car park.

• V1 Has easy access to a left into right hand bend with a fast approach before pulling away uphill.
• V2 Is an example of what makes spectating in Crychan forest unique. You can walk on prepared walkways, footpaths and raised gravel surfaced banks in a complete loop of over 2km that links V2, V3 and V4 together. At V2 you can view a tricky right hand bend.
• V3 Is a quarry area (which is close to the major parking area if you do not wish to walk the loop) where you can stand well above the track to see the cars exit a right hand junction at speed into a wide open area.
• V4 Is a view from a raised bank of a fast approach into a hairpin right. By following marked walkways and crossings you can move to other positions amongst the trees. Catering and toilets are close to V3 and V4.

An overnight holding parking area will be provided at this car park with toilets and a catering unit open until midnight. At 06:00 on Sunday movement will be allowed to positions nearer the stage.

From the North: Take the A483 from Builth Wells. On the southern outskirts of Llanwrytd Wells take a left turn and follow the signposted route to the car park. Note: Part of this route will require you to travel over forest gravel roads. If you arrive before 06:00hrs you will be directed into Car Park M which contains the Crychan overnight parking area. You will be able to move to car park N via an internal route after 06:00 if you wish.

From the South: Take the A483 from Llandovery. After 5 miles at Cynghordy turn right into the unclassified road and follow the sign-posted route. This is a difficult turn and is traffic light controlled. Congestion may occur at peak times.

Please help us to help you. Moving between Crychan and Halfway between runs is virtually impossible due to congestion in and out of Crychan along the single track road that you come in by and the short time period between each run. The Police have advised that if this occurs they will close the road and the car park exit totally. There is no need to attempt to move. Enjoy the Crychan stages to their full by visiting the variety of viewing points on offer.

CAR PARK N

Open from 06:00 on Sunday 13 November

The viewing areas will be signposted from the car park.

• V5 Is a raised viewing area as the competitors climb uphill from a twisty section and then take a tight square right junction. From here you can then either continue to walk on a cleared path through the trees for some 800m to V6 or return to the car park road from which you can walk down a gravel path to V7.
• V6 Comprises of a spectacular series of bends, including an uphill hairpin, which offer some of the best viewing in Crychan.
• V7 Over the past years this viewing point has proved to be one of the most popular within the forest: It stretches for almost 1km on a raised gravel surface bank looking down on a series of sweeping bends leading the cars to V6.
