Tourism has long been the economic driver for Conwy County, and many years ago we recognised the significant contribution events can make, not only to our tourism offer, but to bolstering our many small businesses all year long.
Our partnership with Wales Rally GB began in 2010 when we actively pursued a slice of the action, confident that the people of North Wales and indeed the North West, would support the world renowned event being available on their doorstep.
And we didn't disappoint. Our journey with Wales Rally GB began by hosting RallyFest on our beautiful West Shore in Llandudno, with the magnificent Great Orme providing the back drop. Fans turned out in their thousands and our relationship with the event was sealed.
Since then it has grown year after year and the Great Orme even became a special stage to the fans delight. We've since hosted many stages, official starts, ceremonial finishes and finally in 2013 we became official host County.
Our relationship with Wales Rally GB is very important to us and long may it continue. We'd like to wish the teams and drivers 'Pob Lwc' in 2016 and we can't wait to welcome you all back to our beautiful Conwy.
