British Rally Championship update Mark Higgins and David Higgins describe their Saturday retirements:
54: Mark Higgins/Roy Kennedy
“There was ice on a right-hand corner and in order to stay on the road I had to accelerate out of the bend. Then I arrived at a left over a crest, but there was ice on the approach which meant I couldn’t slow down. The car went sideways and slid off the road. That broke the steering arm. I’d like to start again tomorrow and try to keep the car on the road.”

59: David Higgins/Ieuan Thomas
Describing his retirement this morning...
“I was braking for a bend that is normally a flat left-hander and as soon as I touched the brakes it felt like the car accelerated. We went straight off the road and 50 metres downhill. The car ended up pretty much vertical. That was that.”
