| Behind the main field on Wales Rally GB six Army Land Rovers contested a separate National B event. | |||||
| The crews drove through the same stages as the main field – and were frequently called upon to help out many of them who got stuck in the icy conditions.
At the finish Alan Paramore/James Dempsey were declared the winners, beating Ewen Christie/Michael Eldridge by almost ten minutes. “I had a fantastic time,” said Paramore. “We put on a bit of a show for the crowds. The Land Rover was fantastic, but to be honest I quite fancy doing this in a rally car. I’d love that.” Third place went to Derek Hope/Malcolm Lofthouse, while George Morrison/Tom Aldridge were fourth. Steve Partridge retired following a road incident, while Duncan Lilwall damaged his radiator and had to withdraw. |
