Despite atrocious weather conditions which brought South Wales motorways to a standstill, all the timed special stages were set up and ready to go on schedule and there were no timing queries from the 114 competitors who bettered the rain, fog and high winds

“The volunteer Marshals and Officials braved the worst weather conditions I can remember and did a remarkable job. Some were in the forest stages for 18 hours, but they came well prepared and kept the event running to plan. We owe them all a huge debt of gratitude”, added Kellitt, himself a former International level co-driver

“Despite everything the Officials succeeded in keeping vital time cards and documents dry and intact. As a consequence there were very few queries from co-drivers who are responsible for keeping the crew on the correct time and route”, concluded Kellitt.
