Car Park F overview
F and G are the most popular of the Mid Wales car parks, understandably given the variety of viewing available within short walking distance and the ease of access off the A40. In car park F the viewing from the old stone quarry is very good with the opportunity, weather permitting, to see the cars not only on the road around the quarry, but also in the valley below. The disadvantage is the steep climb to get there. We have overcome that this year by creating new viewing areas for the less agile that give excellent viewing as competitors descend from the quarry.Hospitality packages are available - please click here for more details.
Car Park F viewing areas
V6 Two new viewing points with easy access from the head of the car park, these will enable viewing of the competitors as they descend from the quarry through two tight sweeping bends and they will be in view for at least 500m.V7 The quarry with its unsurpassed views as competitors descend in a complete loop around the perimeter road. A steep climb up from the car park but assisted on the last 50m by a handrail.
V8 Following a footpath from the car park, you are directed to a well prepared standing area that overlooks a twisty descent to the crossing of a narrow railed bridge. Rarely a rally passes through without an incident of some sort at this position.
Note: You may be able to watch the first half hour of Halfway 2 and still make it to the Millennium Stadium for the start of the entertainment before the Cardiff Stage.
